An Alabama limited liability company is formed by filing a document called the Articles of Organization with the Alabama Secretary of State and the county where the LLC’s registered office is located and paying a fee of $40 to the Secretary of State and a minimum fee of $35 to the county where the LLC’s registered office is located .

ALASKA

An Alaska limited liability company is formed by filing the following document with the Alabama Secretary of State: (1) The Articles of Organization and, (2) The Disclosure of Company Activities Form and paying a fee of $250.

ARIZONA

An Arizona limited liability company is formed by filing a document called The Articles of Organization with the Arizona Secretary of State and paying a fee of $50 (expedited service is available for an additional $35 fee).

ARKANSAS

An Arkansas limited liability company is formed by filing a document called The Articles of Organization with the Arkansas Secretary of State and paying a fee of $50.

CALIFORNIA

A California limited liability company is formed by filing a document called The Articles of Organization with the California Secretary of State and paying a fee of $70.

COLORADO

A Colorado limited liability company is formed by filing a document called The Articles of Organization with the Colorado Secretary of State and paying a fee of $50.

CONNECTICUT

A Connecticut limited liability company is formed by filing a document called The Articles of Organization with the Connecticut Secretary of State and paying a fee of $60.

DELAWARE

A Delaware limited liability company is formed by filing a document called The Certificate of Formation with the Delaware Secretary of State and paying a fee of $90.

DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

A District of Columbia limited liability company is formed by filing the following documents with the District of Columbia: (i) The Articles of Organization, and (ii) The Registered Agent Written Consent Form, which is attached to the Articles of Organization and paying a fee of $150.

FLORIDA

A Florida limited liability company is formed by filing a document called The Articles of Organization with the Florida Secretary of State and paying a fee of $125.

GEORGIA

A Georgia limited liability company is formed by filing the following documents with the Georgia Secretary of State: (i) The Articles of Organization, and (ii) Transmittal Form 231(only complete if you file by mail) and paying a fee of $100.

HAWAII

A Hawaii limited liability company is formed by filing a document called The Articles of Organization with the Hawaii Secretary of State and paying a fee of $50.

IDAHO

An Idaho limited liability company is formed by filing a document called The Articles of Organization with the Idaho Secretary of State and paying a fee of $100 ( if expedited service is requested, add $20.00 to the filing fee).

ILLINOIS

An Illinois limited liability company is formed by filing a document called The Articles of Organization with the Illinois Secretary of State. You may file the Articles of Organization online or by mail. The cost for filing the Articles of Organization online is $600 and $850 for a Series LLC. The cost for filing the Articles of Organization by mail is $500 and $750 for a Series LLC.

INDIANA

An Indiana limited liability company is formed by filing articles of organization with the Indiana Secretary of State and paying a fee of $90.

IOWA

KANSAS

KENTUCKY

LOUISIANA

MAINE

A Maine limited liability company is formed by filing a document called The Articles of Organization with the Maine Secretary of State. The fee for filing the Articles of Organization is $175. You may pay an additional fee of $50 for 24 hour processing service or $100 for immediate service.

MARYLAND

A Maryland limited liability company is formed by filing a document called The Articles of Organization with the Maryland Secretary of State. The filing fee for filing the Articles of Organization is $100. Regular processing time for submitted documents is about 7-8 weeks; Expedited processing request will be responded to within 7 business days. The expedited service fee is an additional $50.00.

MASSACHUSETTS

NEW JERSEY

A New Jersey limited liability company is formed by filing a document called The Articles of Organization with the New Jersey Secretary of State and paying a fee of $125.

NEW MEXICO

A New Mexico limited liability company is formed by filing a document called The Articles of Organization with the New Mexico Secretary of State.

The organizer(s) of a limited liability company shall file with the commission: (1) the signed original of the Articles of Organization, together with a duplicate copy which may be either signed or photocopied; (2) A Statement for the Acceptance of Appointment of the Registered Agent; and (3) $50 filing fee.

NEW YORK

A New York limited liability company is formed by filing a document called The Articles of Organization with the New York Secretary of State.
